We’re excited to celebrate the summer season with the completion of our client’s home in Minneapolis. This residence serves as a summer retreat for our clients and their extended family and marks our second collaboration with them, following the design of their apartment in Manhattan. Our goal for this home was to create spaces that are sophisticated and vibrant, while also being child-friendly. A mix of textures, easy-to-maintain materials, and a color palette featuring rusts, yellows, and blue accents create warmth and ease throughout the residence. The living room with a large semi-circular sofa, is the heart of the home, providing a cozy gathering spot for the family.
This multifaceted project included design development and construction working in lockstep with Tea2 Architects and Santanni Custom Homes. From the project’s inception, we had a significant role in shaping architectural details and had the opportunity to execute our vision meticulously. Despite the distance and project timeline, we efficiently managed it with minimal travel by utilizing new communication methods with the on-site team.
Our work is centered on building strong relationships. We worked with many vendors new and old to create custom furnishings for this project including DeMuro Das, Studio 6F based in Chicago, TW Senders Upholstery in Minneapolis, Croft House, Harbour, Walters Wicker, Room Online, Dmitriy & Co, Fort Standard, Alt for Living, Crosby Street Studios, and Northern Clay Center in Minneapolis. Lastly, we would like to thank Scott Amundson Photography for capturing our collaborative work and Susan Hammes for creative styling. See the full project on our
